How tall was Jesus Christ?

We do not know whether he was tall or short. The image on the Shroud
of Turin (believed by many to be the burial shroud of Jesus) is of a
man variously estimated to be 5′ 11½” to 6′ 2″ tall. Jews who lived in
the 1st century CE were much shorter than this. Writer William Harwood
comments: “According to a medieval writer, [the Jewish historian]
Josephus described Jesus as an old-looking man, balding, stooped, with
joined eyebrows and approximately 135 cm (4ft 6 in.) tall.”  This is
based on the standard 46 cm. long regular cubit — an ancient unit of
distance. Using the 53 cm. special cubit, Jesus’ height would have
been about 156 cm (5ft 1in.). Harwood also makes the point that if
Jesus were really 6 feet high, his height would have been so
remarkable that he would certainly have been described as a very tall
person by the writers of the Christian Scriptures.

Does Elon Musk smoke weed?

Elon Musk took a drag of a spliff — weed mixed with tobacco — during a live interview with UFC commentator Joe Rogan in September. Rogan lit up first and then offered the spliff to Musk. Marijuana is legal for medical and recreational use in California, where the interview took place.
Musk suggested in an interview with The New York Times in August that he was no fan of marijuana, arguing that it kills productivity. So the Jury is out on this one, it might have just been a show of bravado, and judging from the video of the interview he doesn’t seem to know a lot about that spliff-life.

David Mutiso, the architect of the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), has shared an interesting tit-bit about the main tower of the building. The 28 floor tower was apparently inspired by a donkey’s penis. You read that right. The phallic nature of the tower should have pointed us to the obvious but it is nice to get a confirmation from the man who designed it. Let’s just say that we won’t look at that building the same again.

What are living rocks?

The fact that this sea creature looks exactly like a rock with guts is not even the weirdest thing about it. It’s also completely immobile like a rock — it eats by sucking in water and filtering out microorganisms — and its clear blood mysteriously secretes a rare element called vanadium. Also, it’s born male, becomes hermaphroditic at puberty, and reproduces by tossing clouds of sperm and eggs into the surrounding water and hoping they knock together. Go home nature, you are drunk.

Can you fit a light bulb in your mouth?

The urban legend says that if you put an ordinary (those round, not energy efficient) lightbulb in your mouth it will get stuck and you will need to get to a hospital or break it in your mouth. The issue is that if you put the wide end in first, it feels like it is trapped behind your teeth. Of course, if you can open your mouth wide enough to put it in there, you can get it out again. The problem could be people panicking when it becomes difficult to remove (children etc), and end up pulling it out too quick and breaking it with your teeth.
